I spent thousands of dollars chasing the next magic pill—fat burners, appetite suppressants, detox teas, protein powders, pre-workouts, and metabolism boosters. Each one promised results, and each one let me down.
I wasn’t just investing money—I was investing hope. Every purchase felt like buying another shot at finally fixing myself. But each failure chipped away at my confidence until I started to believe the problem wasn’t the products—it was me.
I told myself it was just money. But when I added it all up—the supplements, the meal plans, the gym memberships, the coaching programs—it was enough to make me sick.
And still, I had nothing to show for it but frustration and a closet full of products I never wanted to look at again.
Fat burners, appetite suppressants, detox teas—you name it, I tried it. All promising miracles, none delivering results.
Every single one left me more frustrated, more confused, and more convinced that maybe this was just who I was meant to be.
That’s when the doubts started creeping in.
“Maybe it’s my genetics.” “Maybe I just don’t have the discipline.” “Maybe I’m just meant to be like this.”
And why wouldn’t I?
After years of failed attempts, broken promises to myself, and second-guessing every choice I’d made, how could I believe anything different?
I’d fought through tough times before, but this—this felt impossible. It wasn’t just the weight.
It was the exhaustion, the frustration, and the anger that came from knowing I was capable of more but couldn’t seem to make it happen.
I’d faced challenges in my life that most people would crumble under. But here I was, beaten down by my own reflection.
And that terrified me.
But then one day, I saw a guy at the gym wearing a shirt that said:
“Abs are made in the kitchen.”
Curious, I walked over and asked the guy about his shirt. What he said next hit me so hard I actually laughed out loud.
He told me something so simple it felt ridiculous: without a process, people like me and you are bound to fail.
Sure, there are plenty of people born with abs, high metabolisms, and amazing genetics—but that’s not us.
No, we have to follow a different path. A path built on two things:
1. Brutal honesty with ourselves.

As long as we know our limitations and create a strategy around them—a strategy that guides us step-by-step from point A to point B—nothing can stop us.
And that’s when it hit me. All this time, I was blaming everything I wasn’t doing or didn’t have instead of creating a system that worked for me.

To answer that question, I had to look back at my life and identify all the times I’d been successful before.
